Apparently he told the Sharks he wanted to return to the East Coast for "family reasons." Anyone know what those reasons are? I hope everyone is ok!

  1. Could be a terminal illness and with less travel and also be closer to home Campbell can excuse himself to tend to family matters quickly.

I also think if the Sharks would have made the Cup Finals or had a good look in the West Finals he would be back in teal town no questions ask.

San Jose is entering the season with a enormous question mark and in the end Campbell doesn't want to be a scapegoat on a possible losing or struggling team while I guess having his mind back on home/family

Or he could be using this as an empty excuse either way with Ron Wilson and Campbell gone this should allow Matt Carle to return to form after a sophmore jinx and season full of Ron Wilson head games

  2. Because His family lives in Ontario, which falls in the Eastern conference

  3. what the s**z?

you just said it. he wants to be by his family and not uproot them to the west coast.

i also think he went from the SUPERHERO, the ANSWER, the MISSING PIECE, to another WTF SHARKS PLAYERS.

i think if they had done better in the playoffs he would have been a prime target for the sharks. but they tanked again, so he obviously wasnt the answer he seemed to be at the end of the season. i think it is one in many excuses the sharks and campbell will make since they are not on bad terms, but dont really want to work together

  4. He's having family issues and wants to be closer to home. Hockey my be his life, but family still comes first. If he's having issues no one needs to question him....just let him be. He'll be a good player no matter where he ends up.

  5. Maybe most his family lives on the East coast and wants to be closer to them. He may also be using it as an excuse. Its his choice where he wants to be.

  6. YA he doesnt want to move to far and family stuff.

  7. cause he wants to play for the Devils....Well...We want him to play for us.

  8. He's single (yes puckbunnies you read correct) so his only family are the people he grew up with.  So as great as it is in the west coast with a good friend like Joe Thornton, nothing beats the bond of family.  Hopefully he decides to stay a Shark, but if he wants to be home with family, i respect that.

-Kate- lmao, i'm sorry but they would've found out sooner or later!
