Why does Britain support an independent Kosovo, but don't allow the righfull indepencence of Scotland?

Britain is like the US, they both believe in one standard for themselves and one for the rest of the world.  Whatever they do is right and they think they are the moral authority for the rest of the world.  Guess that's why Britain and the US are such kiss asss buddies, both acting against the will of their people.
