  1. Because he's the greatest driver that ever lived!

    EDIT: His words, NOT mine.

  2. You basically answered your own question. During a race when your all jakked up on adrenaline and all intense racing, you obviously want to win. Instead of being meek and praying to God like people do in church, reality kicks in and you wanna win the fx@cking race. Get out of my way! Give me what I need! I want it all & I want it now! I don't care who does what just make it happen! I need my God dam f@ckin' crew!. And then after the race when the camera's get in you face and the fashion police are watching, you have to put up a front for the judgemental picture. It would be better if they didn't let the public listen to radio communications, so the drivers could do their jobs, without the public scrutinizing, and hanging on to every little word they spew out, brought on by high energy and intensity. Personally I think it would be hard enough to talk over the radio while trying to race. A drivers concentration is more on the race than his ettiquete for the media. If you undertand human psychology, this is what happens in intense situations. All the drivers do it, because they are forced into that situation, for the spectators. Have you ever heard the announcers say, the driver isn't saying much over his radio? That's because he's concentrating on his driving excecution. I would love to hear what a woman would be saying over her radio if she was in a race. Have you ever seen the look on Danica Patricks face, when she gets mad. She's not that pretty. Who cares what they say over the radio. They're just eeking out emotions.

  3. maybe he's got an evil twin with some strange disfigurement, so he can only use him on the radio.

  4. You know, I've met Carl.  He's one of the sweetest guys out there.

He's NOT fake.  He's as real as they get.  He's so laid back, I couldn't even tell he was a racer for a bit until someone came up for his autograph and I remember he was.

They ALL do it.  They sometimes DO get sick and tired of answering the same questions.  So leave him alone.

  5. Carl is a nice guy. Every driver and crew chief fight on radio during a race.

  6. Nope it,s like a soap opera...He does that because everyone likes dirty laundry!!!

  7. Who cares nascar isnt even a sport. Its a bunch of redneck going in a circle.

  8. he has all the signs of being bi polar

  9. Every driver does it once and a while! Why is everyone saying that his is putting on a fake smile lately?

  10. What are you talking about? Was it this past weekend in Michigan on the final restart about Kyle Busch? Because I am pretty sure that was a combo of Bob warning him about Kyle & Carl acknowledging it on the radio. Besides Kyle had just proved it not 20 laps prior on the restart before the last by running all over David Regan to get passed him.

Another incident, I was was at Daytona this past July & I was listening to Carl's radio for both the Nationwide & the Cup race. I know he got upset in the Nationwide race but he was right in doing so. It was a bad call on NASCAR's part that upset him. But other than that he never talked trash.

So, I guess I just can't see what you are talking about. Can you please elaborate? And how's it talking trash when it's the truth?

  11. I like him. Anybody who can ride a bike from Columbia Mo. to Gateway then win there is good in my book.

I agree though to a point. There is a reason Tony called him the Eddie Haskal of Nascar. I totally can see where your coming from but the guy is methodical. He's on a mission.

  12. i dont know why he is a very big dude i met him at driver introductions he is cut up muscle wise. he looks like he can bust up someones face up. but thats the type of person you wanna be seen as on national t.v drivers dont really care or thinnk about espn or fox people listening in they will say what they think is needed

  13. cause he's a dlckhead

  14. Emotions run high during the race, but afterward drivers usually calm down and aren't as angry.  It's partly just them cooling off and partly that they see television replays and realize maybe the other driver wasn't at fault, maybe even that they themselves were at fault.

Many drivers are easy-going outside of the car, but you can't be that way inside the car.  An "Aw shucks, I'm getting passed again" mentality isn't the stuff of elite drivers.  Some are high-strung and emotional, some are cold and rational, but very few (or none) are dispassionate.

  15. Well, I am going to tell you like it is.  I have never liked the dude.  He is a fake S.O.B.

I'll never forgive him for what he did to Matt.

  16. Carl is a phony thats why. Phony smile. Phony good sport.

He can dish it out ,but like so many others can`t take it.

That is what I like about Stewart. Not phony everyone knows he is a jerk.A cool jerk. Carl just happens to some how keep spinning out Boyer in the Nationwide series. Imagine that. The guy he is chasing in the points.

I am still mad him for trashing Kenseth and Biffle for not hanging around with him.

  17. He has a "spur-of-the-moment" temper..  Remember when he almost decked Kenseth? God, that was hilarious...
