It's probably more of an American thing than a Caucasian thing.  Americans have been faced with "The Obesity Epidemic" for a long time, so they opt for the almost calorie-free version of the very cheap and available soda.  Once you get used to the taste, what's the point in drinking 120 calories when you could drink 3?

i'm 'Caucasian' and don't drink diet anything, or coke.

what about them 'African Americans' huh? why do they like to drink so much orange soda?

I drink it every once in a while, but Im trying to drink more water than anything. Not sure it is just a caucasian thing.

A lot of white people enjoy soda but most don't want to become overweight so they drink diet soda instead.

I am White, I am American, I DON'T drink Diet ANYTHING...

AND mostly don't drink Coke.
