Why does Cedric Simmons not get playing time?

Well he got some time during the summer- but pretty much because the Bulls are loaded in the front court- and the Bulls are really building around Rose, Deng, Noah, Thomas, as their core.  

He's still got a lot to learn to have a NBA ready game- although as you are saying- he needs playing time to learn "on the job."

because he is suppose to be a strong forward. yet he has terrible FG% for a big man and is not a good rebounder. and he is only okay athletically. Not a good FT% shooter... so its like sending out the worst guy on your team to guard amare, gasol, kg, or duncan. he'd get abused and he isn't going to help you team.
