We used to have these kewl stations. Sure the Loop 97.9 They're ok. If you life far enough north, you can get 95.1 WIIL, but other than that, what can we do to get out hard and heavy music out. I just subscribed to XM and I'm liking it. Right now, my 2 yr old son and I jam to the Zepplin channel. I certainly don't want him to listen to the c**p that's out there. High school musical, Hanah Montana/miley ray cyrus. I'm not sure XM has very good channels for toddlers.

Anyway, just b#tch%n

  1. Well, for starters, WMAQ(the old NBC flagship) is now a WFAN(NYC) type station...

    WBBM?

    WLS?

One of those two is now Fox News Radio-controlled...

  2. Chicago sucks in general.  Holler at some of your local talk stations and tell them to pick up the DJ and Kent show.

Tell your son to listen, too...I'll teach him how to be a man.

  3. Be a good girl and listen to PBS already.

  4. i listen to two kinds of music Country and Western US99.5

  5. Welcome to the world of terrestrial radio, it all sucks now and seems to be getting worse. More commercials, more crappy music, and less of anything I want to hear. Satellite blows regular radio away. Hopefully, the XM/Sirius merger will go through and they can increase market share and make a full-on assault on terrestrial radio.
