I am talking more as compared to the US as we have the most silver and bronze and China is just dominating the gold medal category.

  1. Because so far the sports are those that China excel at. Like weightlifting, and judo, and diving. But track and field will even that out.

"the chinese judges are in favor of the chinese athletes"

Yeah right. These are judges on the international circuit. They aren't Chinese.

  2. I don't think that the judges are cheating. The olympics are serious and although it's the judges opinions that count, I highly doubt they could get away with actual cheating. And no, the Chinese are not on drugs/steroids because they are tested before qualifying for the olympics.

It's most likely because the Chinese are trained rigorously in their specific area almost their entire lives, since age three. It's practice that makes perfect, and doing something for hours every single day since an unbelievably young age will cause the Chinese to be nearly perfect in everything they do.

  3. Usually the country that be responsible (in this case China as ye know) always has the most medall. Secondly China have a vast number of population(134,000,000) people. So it will be easier to get a good athlete. Thirdly, a lot of countries that used to be responsible of the olympic used the most time for training theeir athlete. Fourthly, for example if you are in U.S.A. if you go to China it's 1pm in U.S.A. but in China it's 4am so that's another of their advantage in time. so yea.

  4. Def. Chine is by far better............even if yahoo doesn't seem to acknowledge that.

  5. 1st off they have a home field advantage, nothing like getting to perform in front of all your fans to inspire you to do well, right? I think that has pushed their athletes up a few places throughout the ranks. 2nd they have the biggest pool to draw their athletes from. Their population is 1.3 billion people, more than 4 times more than the U.S.,that means for every for every one phenom the U.S. has the Chinese will likely have four choices. They have questionable ethics as well. I was horrified about the stories of the Chinese government snatching up promising toddlers and putting them into sports camps. They do this for pretty much every sport, not just gymnastics, but I guess if you care more about the results, than the athletes competing in the events, it is a pretty good strategy. I mean if all you had to do was pommel horse for 10 to 15 years, you should be pretty good at it, no matter how uncoordinated you might otherwise be. It is almost reflective of ancient Sparta, except instead of becoming great warriors, they become great gymnasts or badminton players, if they had the resources of the U.S., they would probably be way ahead of everyone in all the categories. Has anyone noticed that a lot of the people getting medals for other countries are training in the United States? No surprise, we have the best facilities, to turn good athletes into great ones. If China ever catches up to us in that department, you will never see the U.S.A with a medal count lead again. They can put 4 people into one event, for every one the U.S. has, and if they are equally trained, we won't stand a chance. That being said, look for the U.S. to make a big gold medal rush, in the next few days. Volleyball, basketball, several of the track and field events, these are our strong suits, and the gold medal gap will narrow by the end of the games.

  6. It's because they are cheating with their scoring. Everything USA has to be scored on we lose or get 2nd place. Everything we don't have to get scored on and we can actually prove we beat them. We win gold. It's amazing how unfair this olympics is! I'm just so annoyed on all the scores we've been getting when our athletes are doing way better. They just don't like the USA for some reason?

THAT'S MY OPINON..EVERYONE IS ENTILTED TO THEIR OWN OPINIONS! :)

  7. The chinese have mastered the training of athletes.  it's very easy under their form of government to force the people to do as they wish.

  8. Steroids and doping.

  9. they paid off the judges

  10. because china earned them...they happend to do better in some areas...what kindof question is this?

  11. Because they are better at all the sports and they train overall more than the other countries, and they deserve all the medals that they are going to get and already got. All other Americans should stop being in denial that they are very jealous of China and they should just be quiet after Michael p. won 8 gold medals. d**n, can't they just shut up and be happy. they have to realize that they cannot win in everything.

  12. Minus the whole gymnastics thing, they're doing well.

  13. Because Chinese athletes are good.

Must be all that protein in the insects, scorpions, and dog meat that they eat. Mind you, Phelps is a junk food junkie, and is the world's best athlete today.

  14. the chinese judges are in favor of the chinese athletes

  15. To the people who say they cheated in womens gymnastics, they would still be in the lead for gold

  16. Because they take children and train them in a gym.

  17. Well, in the gymnastics category, I was watching and the announcers were talking about how when they are little kids, people come and take them out of like schools and parks and train them from like the age of three. They get to see their families like once a year and they live with other gymnasts, but their parents oblige because of the possibilities of Olympic gold. They train them from the beginning the way that American elite gymnasts train, which is why so many of them look so young. Training that vigorous at such a young age causes them to stunt their growth, and most of them have probably not even gone through puberty yet.

Sad, I know. But it's paying off right?

    Hope this answered your question.

  18. Because their athletes won first place in their events
