Ever since High School, whenever I drink chocolate milk, within 5-10 mins, I feel a lot of discomfort in my stomach/GI area...then I have to run to the bathroom. I am not allergic to milk or dairy products or any OTHER form of chocolate, this ONLY happens with chocolate milk. Any help? Thanks.

  1. it mite not be the chocolate milk it mite just be the milk

  2. u could devolep an alllegry or maybe ur lactose n tolarante

  3. oh god, this happens to me too!  It tastes so good but then I feel sooo sick afterwards.  I think it's either the high concentration of sugar mixed with milk or the fact that the chocolate isn't really chocolate at all, it's mostly chemical crud.

  4. maybe you are lactose or chocolate is just to rich for your stomach that happends to my friend alot she cant drink chocolate milk alot or else her stomach hurts for like 3 days straight hope i help

  5. my first guess would be lactose intolerant but since it only happens with chocolate milk  and no other dairy or chocolate,my question to would be do you buy premade half gallon/gallon chocolate milk or do u buy regular milk and add chocolate to it. if you buy the half gallon/gallon chocolate milk maybe there is something in the milk that makes you sick. since you seem to be fine with regular milk buy it and add chocolate syrup to it and see if you have the same reaction. other than that im fresh out of ideas

  6. I guess the only thing that I can think of is maybe your allergic to chocolate, milk, dairy products. I can't drink milk! I'm not lactose intolerant but I can't drink it. It too upsets my stomach. So just avoid those drinks. :)

  7. Are you drinking the same brand of chocolate milk? Perhaps something that brands uses affects you. Try switching brands.

  8. i wish i knew my stomach hurts after fried eggs but scrambled or boiled eggs dont. some one told me it just didnt agree with me hmmmmm good luck chocolate milk is not something ide wanna do with out

  9. you might be lactose intolerant. or there is a cetain kind of cocoa that's making you sick. or it could be some other ingrediant that's not sitting with your system. Check with your doc

  10. Easy answer: avoid chocolate milk and shakes.

If it's not the milk, or the chocolate, it could be the colouring they add to the chocolate flavouring. There is alot of stuff you could be sensitive to, if it happens with anything else, write down the ingredients list and compare. Common ingredients = problem. If it doesn't happen with anything esle, then it really doesn't matter, if you can avoid chocolate milk you'll be fine. Usually, finding out what makes you sick is the hard part, but it seems you've already done that.

note: Irriable Bowel Sydnrome is in other words " you have bowel problems and we don't know why" If you know that it's food that sets you off it's never IBS.

  11. Is it possible you have irritable bowel syndrome?  Same thing happens to me, but with a whole range of foods and drinks.

  12. maybe you have some kind of allergic reaction to it

  13. ok, dude, till u find out watever is wrong, dont drink the choc milk, no matter how good it is!!!

it could affect you in the long run.......(lik in the future)

  14. This is how I react if I get too much sugar and too heavy food. Does it also happen if you just take one or two sips? Sounds like you have to cut down on quantity - just don't drink more than a few sips.
