Why does Coca Cola and Pepsi taste so good with food?

usually because of the addictives but i think because it is acidic and usually when we eat food and then eat something sweet it usually tastes good. Lets not forget the fact that it reduces the acid that build up while chewing the food keeping your mouth open. ;-)
