Why does Converse cost so much?

I was looking of there website and there shoes wear like $50.. Why so much I thought these shoes was way lowing then that..

WTF? 50$ if expensive? you must be like really poor. Normal running shoes or just regular sneakers are like 100$ thats like basically half price.  & 50$ IS NOT EXPENSIVE!. :|:|

Converse are really ghetto-looking shoes. However, the company puts a price tag on them so that people who are actually ghetto can't wear them (or are less likely to). So then, kind of like with John Deere stuff, non-ghetto people end up paying for them, wearing them, and making a "ghetto fashion statement." Like celebs who dress down. Or trendy kids who wear John Deere stuff (when that was in). If you are actually ghetto, the shoes are going to make you look even more ghetto. If you are not actually ghetto, the shoes are going to make you look more "in." Does that make any sense? Just think about it...

because i guess they last a really long time. i love them if you see me im usually wearing converse all the time. . .i have a lot of shoes trust me if you want them i say go for them they are really good shoes and they are black so they go with everything. idk what iw ould do without them!
