  3. Is this a philosophical question? Look, I have the answer---may be the correct answer to your question, but I'm not prepared to reply in this page. As I came here to face something philosophical, sorry.

  5. We have several different sets of nerve ending types in our skin. One is for pain. Another type detects cold. A third, heat. You can map out each type separately, using a needle, a cooled metal rod, or a heated metal rod. They each are treated differently in your brain, which makes all cold nerves seem similar, etc.
