Why does Curlin's owners change the colors of the silks every race????

I like Curlin but really wished that Street Sense would have won the Preakness!! (Sorry!!)

  1. If you mean the saddlecloth, that is determined by the track for the specific race.

    His is a unique situation due to multiple ownership groups, so there may have been a deal cut on the jockey silks worn in the stakes races at age three.

    Great race and it matched the record time for The Preakness. The biggest loser is Belmont Park, because the Belmont Stakes - though as major a race as there is - will not draw the same fan interest - either in attendance, TV ratings or at the wagering windows.


  2. Curlin is owned by more than one owner.So to make it fair advertisement for teh different owner's and their different stables they take turns alternating the colors.

  3. Each number has their own colors. The number 2 starting place's colors are grey and black, number 8 is pink and black, so on and so forth.

  4. so do i but from what was said at the derby he is owned by  about 4 owners and tye all have different colors..
