Why does ESET nod 32 antivirus system have trouble opening many of the system files when I ask it to scan....?

When I use nod 32 to scan my computer, many of the files in the scanning log say "error opening - access denied." What's happening?

How do I make nod 32 open every file in my computer and scan it thoroughly, or is this supposed to be normal....

Any help would be appreciated.

This may due to the administrator status.  Are you running the program from administrator account?  Log on the PC as administrator should resolve this problem.
