Why does Forever 21 have cameras in the fitting rooms?

Okay so I went to Forever 21 today with my best friend and we saw these cute tanks tops and we weren't sure it fit us correctly so we got a fitting room together to try it on. When we tried it on, we looked in the mirror and we liked it but my friend thought the mirror was a little sideways so she tried to put it straight but she struggled so she basically tried really hard and the mirror came off and there were cameras in the wall and the mirror was a one side see-through mirror! I got scared for a second because I was like "is this the movie saw or something" We came out and showed the assistance and she escorted us to the front of the store right away as if she was scared of something. She probably gave us an out of order room by mistake. I came home and told my mom and she said it's illegal to put cameras on fitting rooms. I was like so mad!

It's so you don't rip the tags off the clothes and stuff them in your purse. And it's not illegal, they have a WOMAN monitor you to prevent shoplifting.

It is illegal. You should contact your local police and let them know. The store can get into a lot of trouble for that. They can get into a lot more trouble because you are probably under the age of 18.

It does not matter who is watching you, it is illegal to put a camera in places where people are undressing.

sue. Say that you felt violated. I would if i found cameras in a fitting room. you shouldnt have said anything though because they might have taken them out now. but i would definitely try to get some money out of this
