Why does Gatorade give me heartburn?

Ys  i have that trouble too it has quite a bit of the citric acid in it s i finally found if i dont drink it fast and if i dont drink muck it works but then i take rolaids sometimes as it backs up anyway.

it contains citric acid which can easily irritate heartburn. it doesn't happen to me but i always feel a little different...hope this helps!

This product is acidic (specifically citric acid) and this can cause the problem

Sugar, and the electrolytes in large amounts can cause heartburn, and even dehydration. Plus mixed with the acidic features in the drink, is a concoction for heartburn :/

no but it makes me sick 2 my stomach when i drink it @ gymnastix...
