he does not die he wants to allow lord voldemort to kill him to save his friends that is after professor dumbledore tells him he is the 7th horecrux when voldemort used the killing curse and it hit Harry ,Harry ended up in kings cross station with professor dumbledore who gives him alot of surprising information for example Harry was told by Dumbledore that Harry was the seventh horecrux
