People like you are what drives the cost of health care up, they have to make up some where for people like you who do not want to pay.

She thinks the general population is stupid and cannot think for themselves. If a mandatory health care is forced on the US there will be taxes to feed her kitty.We should focus on making health care " more affordable" for everyone and not trying to make it mandatory. After all I promise you after you have to stand in the lines for hours to get a couple of aspirins you will think twice. wait that sounds like Russia and TP.

Universal health care is a good thing. There are way too many people who don't have health ins, and their families (children) pay for it. The only problem with the idea is cost

It must be accordingly relative to what people can afford. In Massachusetts we now have mandatory health Ins.People were given a choice of plans but the costs were not very reasonable, now If you can't provide proof of INS at tax time you are fined and they send you a bill. people like my-self who already had INS are OK ,but those who are low income and couldn't afford the high costs are penalised, while those who don't work at all, receive welfare and pay nothing.This is not the right way to do it.

Are you aware that there are many many nations out there in "the world" that are in no way communist but have health care?

What is it that offends you so much about something that should be to your benefit?

If its the idea of your hard earned money paying for the health of others, remember your hard earned money already pays for a lot of things that might not actually benefit you.  At least with health care it might be to your benefit someday.  In most countries the idea of the taxpayer's money contributing to systems that benefit the population as a wholse is seen as civic minded and common sense.

It's absolutely a violation of the US Constitution (read Amendments IX and X folks). Yes Medicare and the like are also unconstitutional and isn't it odd that those are the programs that are going broke?
