Why does IM's sometimes dont show up?

On one of my friends I have IMed her and she tells me that my IM's doesn't show up on her screen. Hers will show up on my screen but mine wont on hers. What could be causing this?

i had the same problem  its in the computer though  u changed something without realizing it  probably is my guess/

I have had the same problem. Sometimes yahoo has so many people on it that the IM are lagged. There could also be something wrong with the computer. Next time this happens try restarting your computer. If this doesn't help then alert yahoo to the problem so it may be fixed.
