I would have thought that a country as modern and technologically advanced as japan would have got rid of their monarchy.... especially as the Emperor during WW2 was responsible for so many brutalities of south east asian nations....

  1. Sure.

    Why not?

When the citizen still have honour and respect for them.

Even without knowing what's their purpose out there.

Instead of blindly kicking them off  their butts with unruly behaviour with self lack of knowledge..

    Luke 10.24

As the men who would be king with two empty hands and two balls in messing up the "King and I"

    Leviticus 4.13, 22

    What do you think?

  2. For the same reason the UK still has one.  Despite complaints of those who do not wish to have a monarchy, the fact is that the Emperor, as well as the Queen, are both still revered by the majority of their people.

  3. The Emperor was not responsible for the atrocities; had he been, he would have not remained as the nominal leader of Japan.

Everything was done in his name, but it was not ordered by him. It was ordered by the military government, and it's as simple as that.

Besides, since WW2 the Emperor has been nothing more than a figurehead with no power in the running of the country, but he is still revered by millions of Japanese.

Why, therefore, would they abolish the Monarchy?

  4. England has one too... the Emperor had little power over the Military in WWII

  5. Man you have no idea what you are asking here. Are you trying to say that GB is a technologically backward country? Or Saudi Arabia is not a proper country? Why do some people have a QUEEN?

  6. Before WW 2 Hirohito was a sun God to the Japanese they worship him both in Japan and in American that was one of the reason for the interment camps in America and Canada But today we only talk about what we now call concentration camps in America

They refused to surrender unless we promised to not hang Hirohito as we were doing to Germans Hirohito once told D Mac Author that if he wished he would mandate that all his people convert to Christianity There is a statue to him in Tokyo but well soon be torn down that I'm sure of this

Lived in Asia the young punks are very anti American and I'm sure in my life time we will be at war with them again Only this time not two small military cities this time Tokyo

He was not a figure head Why did they not surrender even after we destroyed two cities? Why was he the only one to convince his people to surrender They worshiped not only him but their land At one time if you set foot on Japanese soil and you were not Japanese you were to be put to death

That was our conditions [America] He could not be part of the government nor military But talk to the Chinese they are still upset we did not hang him

  7. Show me an alternative in any country in the World that the people respect and I'll start considering an alternative!  Can you give an example of a good President, Dictator, Military Government, in a country where its people are contented with their lot and free from state interference and extortion and violation of basic human rights?

  8. You need to brush up on your history.
