Every file (mp3 file) I go to download always ends up being corrupt. Then a message from Norton Antivirus pops up and says it blocked some kind of bad file of some nature. What is wrong?

  1. Theres a way you can Un-block this but I forgot how. Limewire is being stupid latley to me too so I use Frostwire, same thing :)

  2. i recommend u to dowload froswire its the exact same thing but is safer n newer

  3. I have been having the same problem with "corrupt files" and have noticed that even though the music track previews o/k, it gets to 99% downloaded and starts all over again until it eventually reports "corrupt file" again. Was working fine up until yesterday when i downloaded a lot of music - then almost everything I tried came back with a corrupt file - bloody frustrating!

I have now removed limewire completely (and I mean completely, run a search for any file containing Limewire and delete the lot, as well as uninstalling limewire. also check in file registry entries etc...)

Downloaded beta version and installed it, seems to be working O/K at the moment... first few tracks I'd been struggling with before are now downloaded (But I am taking the advice and avoiding T3 connections...)

  4. To answer your question, either all of the songs are coming from an infected source or Norton Antivirus has some issues. To fix the issues contact the manual for troubleshooting or better yet, call Norton. But if you dont want to mess with that, drop Norton Antivirus and get another program like Avira Antivir or AVG Antivirus. They are the highest rated of them all. And if the programs work with limewire.....well your problem is fixed
