Why does Mayweather Jr. hate his father so much??

Roger mayweather gave floyd basiclly the skill to get everything he has today, and floyds acts as if roger messed his whole life up.

why does he hate his father so much??

Spent most of Floyd's life in jail for drug charges.  Then Floyd Sr. was going to train ODLH to hurt his very own son.  Whatever you may say about Floyd Jr, it takes a sick man to train another fighter to hurt his son.  Which is probably why Jr. retired.

And I think you may have Roger and Floyd Sr. mixed up.

I don't know what really has happened between father and son. But if I was the Jr. I would love my dad no matter what he did. Come on we are humans, we make mistakes over and over again, is just human nature. Forgiveness should be Floyd's number one issue. Go and tell your dad you love him sucker and stop whining.

Roger is his uncle not his father, floyd's dad is floyd mayweather sr., and to be honest everything i heard about that man is negative he taught his son how to be a good boxer but he was not much of a parent, he was physically abusive and even today he still treats floyd badly even when floyd tried to reconcile...like elmer said, what kind of man would want to train someone to beat his own son?

mayweather jr. once said in HBO that he grew up without SR. that when he was a kid, SR abusing them physically.. its prolly one of the reasons.. other than that, i think its all show and entertainment when floyf was shiiiiiting his pop for the sake of selling tickets.. =p

I don't think Floyd hates his father as much as it seems.  A lot of it is just hype.  The one good thing about the Oscar fight not happening is that I never wanted to see a Father in the opposite corner of his Son.  Floyd Sr. stepped aside the first time, which I give him credit for.  Then Oscar, in all his arrogance decided he's so powerful that he can "pull daddy's strings" and put him against his own son.  How Arrogant!.  

Floyd Sr. is a very negative man.  However, if you look a bit deeper into the problem, they were actually getting along fine at one time.  I honestly believe that it is Floyd's Mother who is partly at the root of the feud between father and son.  I've heard her open her mouth a few times and she doesn't seem to want Floyd to have anything to do with his father.  

I think she should allow Floyd to make up his own mind.  I also think Floyd Jr. and Sr.  should put everyone else aside and make amends.  I'm  sure they can put pride aside if they really want to.  As for his time away from Floyd Jr.  Floyd Sr. made a big mistake and went to jail for it.  I'm sure he regrets his decisions.  I think Floyd Jr. should give him another chance.
