Isn't the Republican party the party that brought us a former movie star turned President, a former actor turned Seantor, and didn't McCain himself appear in the Wedding Crashers?

  1. jealous.

  2. mccain is jealous

  3. i haven't heard mccain criticize obama's celebraty. i see the media do it all day long. mccain doesn't take that route. he shows the good and bad of the candidate, and the media is the one who points out a candidates faults and good points. too bad the media is in the tank for obama. cnn and msnbc are sickening in their exploits of the candidates and  carrying the water for obama. he's a no experience one term senator. who joe biden should even have contempt for.

  4. mccain is grasping at straws. it's so pathetic

  5. It isn't a question of whether you are or were a celebrity.  It is a question of how you are acting.  America does not need a President who can only act like a celebrity.  America needs a President that can protect us and deal with the wide range of issues we are facing today.

  6. He wishes he had the media coverage and was as charismatic as Obama.  He's a boring, grumpy old dude who is out of touch.  I need a President who can use the internet.

  7. Uhh... The Lemur v. blah.... - At least Obama doesn't o****m while he speaks. Unlike, uhh someone. And since when is supporting a politician cool? Not everyone else's reasons are the same as yours!

  8. Well, personally speaking

I find it quite odd to see a possible future president on the front cover of OK! magazine

I mean geez its not a popularity contest!

  9. he is not treated like a celebrity by his supporters....THAT is the point

do you have any idea how many obama hats and shirts i have seen peopel wear so far?? makes me want to barf...

they practically o****m when he speaks

  10. haha but everyone loves CELEBRITIES!

  11. hypocrisy

  12. Because Obama doesnt have any substance.  His popularity is all fluff, like a Paris Hilton or something.  Its meaningless and wont help him run the country.  People just want to say they support Obama because its the cool thing to say.

  13. Because he has about as much substance as Brittney Spears, he is nothing more than really nice, slick packaging with GREAT speech writers. He knows that his core target range for votes is the young voter i.e. less informed and naive, willing to let the media skirt you around the real issues and red flags. Reagan was a great president.

Sad thing is Paris Hilton hired a speech writer that made more sense then both candidates.

  14. Because we need a leader as President, not a celebrity in the sense Obama is noted as. Reagan was the best President this country has ever had. That is a different type of celebrity.

  15. You have to swing at anything when you are losing a fight.

  16. It is a strategic maneuver,  It is designed to make the casual voter look at the disparity in coverage between McCain and Obama.

The fact that the news networks picked up on the Hilton ad only gave the move more traction and more people got to see it.

  17. Its because he is like hilton. He is a celebrity for doing nothing!

No the point is that he hasnt done anything that should make him a celebrity. Why should he be one?

  18. Well that's because Obama loves to let people know his Celebrity staus, John Mc Cain does not show his off.

  19. Because ... JUNIOR U.S. Senator Obama is nothing more than a "celebrity" !!!

Obama is going to give our sovereignty over to the United Nations through his Global Poverty Act (S.2433).

Alaska Govermor Sarah Palin has MORE TOTAL political experience than Obama.

    KimS

  20. He criticizes Obama's "celebrity" because he doesn't have any coherent criticisms of policy that actually matters to people to offer. He knows Obama has better policies than he does.

Basically he is grasping for straws. It's kind of funny actually. In a pathetic way

    Obama 08

  21. well obama is a bad *** dude and mccain is just jealouse

  22. I'll give you a straight answer. The reason McCain's campaign is blasting Obama for being a "celebrity" and "not ready to lead" is they're wanting to make him out to be "elitist" and "out of touch" with ordinary Americans, much like the Bush re-election campaign successfully depicted John Kerry four years ago. They're trying to show that Obama and a Democratic Congress will raise taxes on everyone and then spend the money on earmarks without solving the energy crisis or win the war on terror. What they're doing is spreading lies, as factcheck.org and the Wall Street Journal agreed that Obama's financial package includes tax cuts for the middle class (under $200,000 for singles and $250,000 for families) from $500 to $1,000, along with a comprehensive energy plan that focuses on renewable energy sources and an incentives package for corporations to create new jobs that pay as much as or more than the ones that they outsourced during the eight years of the Bush-Cheney regime.
