Why does McCain want to be president?

When he can retire, relax, do what older people like doing?

Instead he will be putting lots of stress on his body that

may very well be his demise..... Then with Sarah in office,

with a large family that is demanding, with its own set of problems, she will be the opposite of McCain socially. The country would sure be shaken up. It sounds like a gamble.

  1. POWER and MONEY

  2. Because McCain wants to be the next Bush. It's no wonder they're really close. =_= He gets on my nerves alot. I hope Obama wins! [=

  3. for the same reason everyone else wants to be president-- power.

  4. He doesn't. This is demonstrated by his selection of the unqualified and inexperienced Sarah Palin.

  5. It's his DYING wish

  6. Because he is bored

  7. So he could show up his father & grandfather who where the highest ranking Admiral's in the Navy.

He was 4th from the bottom in his graduating class at the Naval Academy, so he felt like a failure.

He cheated on his 1st wife several times, then finally divorced her to marry Cindy (a wealthy, younger woman).

If he can become president, he'll feel he can wash all those failures away, and be remembered as the oldest elected president in history (rather than the most effective).

    I'd rather he not win.

  8. No bigger a gamble than we took electing President Bush, or President Clinton, or the one we took in 1776.

  9. so he could spend the last 4 yrs of his life in the white house before he dies

  10. Well, being president ain't a bad gig if you can handle the stress.

  11. why does anyone want to be president. never understood that

maybe it has to do with ego and wanting to leave a mark in the world

  12. You're right...besides, if he weren't running... there could be free stuff for everybody!!!
