I remember ordering it a year or two ago. Did they change the recipe or what?

  1. Maybe because they're having a hard time selling it???? I tried it and it was horrible.

  2. I haven't ever had it before. It's new.

  3. Because it's been around less than a year.  If you pay real close attention to ads, they will use the word "new" for at least a year.  I guess they think it takes that long for "everyone" to give it a try.

  4. As far as I can tell, it's a blatant rip-off of Chick Fil-A, which is MUCH better, IMO. The buttered bun, the pickles, the natural shape of the chicken breast are all patterned after Chick Fil-A's signature sandwich.

Since Chick Fil-A is based in the south, that's why it's called Southern Style." It's like a few years ago McDonald's had a "Texas Style Hamburger" with mustard, which was obviously (to me at least) based on Whataburger's signature burger.

What gets me is the radio ads saying, "I'd like to meet the genius who thought this up!" Yeah, right. It takes a real genius to rip off a competitor's product...

  5. If you ordered it a year or two ago, it's likely they were selling it in your market as a test.  Now it's nationwide.

  6. It is new. It comes with dill pickles and mayo. I think they copied off of Arby's. Arby's came out with the same sandwich about 3 months ago.

  7. They just count on their watchers' attention spans being shorter than a person with ADD who's taking No-Doz.."New" to advertisers means "We haven't had it in about a year".

  8. If you live in the south, you did have it a year or two ago.  They just went nation wide with it.  They have biscuts and gravy here in the south but don't have it on the west coast.  They don't have Sweet Tea out west.  It is a regional thing.

  9. Haha I asked myself that too.

Now they use REAL chicken and they feel like that is a big accomplisment.

    Gross right? lol

  10. I think because it is served on a buttered roll or biscuit  (YOUR CHOICE) w/pickles. I don't eat fast food often but it kind of sounds yummy!

  11. No, it's got nothing to do with how long it's been there, and EVERYTHING to do with the fact that they now use REAL chicken!!!

  12. you didn't order it a year or two ago
