  1. Because he has a contract with the BBC and he gets payed big time for it


  2. In an interview with the BBC during the last Olympics, he said that Americans are not pasionate about athletics and he choses to work with us instead! His words not mine.

    & long term contracts.  Some personalities get it in writing that the network will pay for them to be at the Olympics.  This gets their faces  (or at least voices) in front of more people.
