Why does NBC continue to torture us by showing Notre Dame games.?

Does NBC not realize that notre dame have become irrelevant in the world of college football. Why can't they showcase some good football games and teams instead of trodding out the same boring team every week?

Like it or not, Notre Dame is to college football as the Yankees are to baseball and the Cowbows are to the NFL. Everyone either loves them or hates them. I'll admit to watching a Notre Dame game just for the joy of watching them lose.
