Why does NBC market the Olympics "LIVE" in the West Coast?

Since it's tape delayed 3 hours for the West Coast..why do they insist on pushing the "LIVE" branding..not even a disclamer? Aren't they supposed to put have a little disclaimer saying "taped earlier" like what they do on SNL? At no point during the broadcast do they mention that it's tape delayed which says a lot about the integrity of NBC. Do they think since they're in China they might as well manipulate and twist information?

Haha..i'm guessing NBC doesn't go on the air at 5pm?  That's pretty dumb of them.  I hate NBC..it's all Bob Costas' fault.

This is a HUGE issue that continues to go unanswered.  The fact that they have events actually taking place at 9PM Pacific time yet show at MIDNIGHT Pacific time is idiotic!!!  

That they do not even offer any disclaimer is borderline fraudulent in my opinion since they leave the word "live" up on the screen the entire time and keep harping on the fact that they are bringing it to everyone live.  

It is unbelievable and it is no wonder NBC is failing.  It is time to give the Olympic coverage to a different network.

As per Costas, I don't think he is to blame for this one as I would guess he has no involvement in the time slots.  He sure IS to blame for his moronic opinions and downright idiotic predictions though.
