  1. A lot of young men suffer with sore wrists, especially single guys. These bands ,strengthen the wrist. Ritchie is very dedicated to the cause, and  leads a very busy life ,with not a lot of time meet girls..........I don`t have any actual proof of this , it`s just a thought....mmmmmmm

  2. Its a reminder to him of his Irish ancestory.

  3. It is a 'drug free' charity band.  Similar to Lance Armstrong cancer charity band, heaps of sports people wear them.

  4. A previous answerer is partly correct, but more accurately it is a wrist band worn by New Zealand sportsmen and women who have signed a pledge to be drug free with an organisation called - Drug Free Sport NZ - ‘Strong Enough to be Clean’. The organisation is not a charity - it is a government sponsored organisation.

Richie McCaw has made this pledge and as part of that he wears an identifying green wrist band.

There is a link below which will explain more about the organisation together with a further link which lists the athletes who have to date signed the pledge.

  5. Is it because he's a cheating so and so? Wait, that doesn't answer the question at all.... erm, yes, a charity band.... is it the catWalk trust - Spinal Cord injuries?

  6. Could be like a charity band, you know like the ones lance armstrong started.

  7. Cos its better than the Pink ones the aussies wear or the white ones the french wear

  8. Either he thinks his hand will be camouflaged in the rucks or he eats a lot of spinach.
