Would they even last in the Big 12 or SEC?

Are they the New England Patriots of College Football ( Patriots have the easiest division in the NFL)

  1. OSU is 33-4 all time against the big 12. Aren't you a ******* genius.

The Patriots have won the superbowl 3 times in recent years. Since they have a playoff in the pros, you can't say they have won it all because of an easy schedule.

To answer your question, OSU plays in the big ten because of geography and history. It's weak because of a lot of coaching changes in recent history. MSU fired a guy that wasn't very good and replaced him with a great coach. In the next couple years they will be a good, if not great, team. PSU has finished 3rd in the country as recently as 2005, but is having trouble getting the top recruits at the moment, because it is obvious that Joe PA wont be around for their full 4 years. Northwestern and Indiana have both had coaches die within the last couple of years. Michigan and Wisconsin replaced great coaches in Carr and Alverez. Minnesota for that matter, in replacing Mason, who also won at Kansas. If you can win at Kansas, you are a great coach. Iowa hasn't changed their coach, but they should. He isn't very good, and this is Tillers last year at Purdue, and most coaches lose it a bit in their last couple of years. Really the only team with good, solid coaching is also the team that won the conference outright 2 years in a row.

  2. How easily we forget the facts.  Below are two:

    1. Last year Tennessee lost to Wisconsin despite having only narrowly lost to LSU in the final quarter of the SEC Championship.

    2. Florida lost to Michigan, who couldnt even beat a SOCON school and struggled with Notre Dame.

I am an SEC man, and actually coach football.  The SEC is the toughest conference week in-week out, but the Big 10 is no joke either.

  3. Yeah we would, actually

  4. The big 10 is not always a weak conference. As much as I hate to admit it, Michigan is one of thewinning estt schools , if not # 1. like they can jump conferences from 1 year to the next.  TRADITION !!!!!

  5. You're calling a conference with Penn State, Wisconsin, Illinois and Ohio State weak? I'm a Georgia fan, and I can say that the Big Ten is not weak... if any conference is weak, it's the ACC or the Pac-10. Yes, the Pac-10 who only has 3 teams in the top 25 while the Big Ten has 4.

  6. You, my friend, are an idiot.

No, the Big Ten isn't as good as the SEC, but it's a VERY strong conference.  Can you honestly call teams like Penn State, Wisconsin, and Illinois(Yes I know they suck) weak?  Michigan sucks now though, so that weakens it a bit...

  7. Pretty soon the SEC is gonna look like a Second rate conference with third rate teams and forth rate players and they already have fifth rate coaches with all the schools on probation.
