Why does Obama and Democrats embrace a warmonger?

By the democrats definition of a warmonger, anyone who voted to go into Iraq is a warmonger. So why do they embrace Biden?

It is rather hypocritical - after bashing Hillary for months over her Iraqi war vote, they chose a VP with the same resume.
