  1. He likes being close to his corrupt Chicago roots...he feels safe there knowing that he won't be jailed for his daily lies.

  2. Springfield is the capital of the state he represents in the senate.

  3. He's from Illinois, so he feels that it makes more sense than trying to use those announcements to reach out to other demographics.

  4. When isn't he trying to recreate images from history?

Whether it's MLK, Kennedy, Reagan, Lincoln or Jesus, Obama is always trying to visually liken himself with these other leaders because he can't stand on experience or credentials alone.

  5. Don't be so paranoid...he is obviously going for the "Simpsons" vote.

  6. He's actually from Illinois...It would be like me having a press conference in Minnesota....because I am actually from Minnesota...He's an Illinois senator Einstein

  7. Springfield is the Capital of his home Chicago and no he's not comparing himself to LIncoln, he was an Illinois state Senator prior to being a U.S. Senator representin Iliinois, pretty logical tom me

  8. Its his home state. Get over it already
