Why does Obama not send his own children to public school?

Funny that the same liberals who want taxpayer funded abortions to counter "discrimination against the poor", do not want taxpayer funded private schools! I would much rather see my taxes go to private schools than public ones.

HE HAS TO!  If he sent his kids to public school they would probably be abducted or hurt by some creep...  there is far more security in a private school.

Edit:  Of course Obama wants every child to attend a safe school... but his kids need more protection than my kids or your kids because he is in the spotlight and that makes his kids targets.  Our kids would never be the target of some kind of terrorist or enemy of the US.  But because of who he is, his children are potential targets and thus need more protection than other children.

He said, he Opposes Vouchers (tax dollars) for Private Schools. He did Not say he oppose public schools. If somebody can afford to send their children to a private school, let them pay for it, that's all Obama was saying.

public figures who have children have to send them to schools with the utmost of security and this is more than metal detectors. Regardless of party politics, the hard truth is that keeping their kids away from zoo-like atmospheres will not only give them a better education but keep them safe from those who would love to target their parents by kidnapping them. The only way to keep them in good schools with structure and discipline is by sending them to a private school when the respective public schools are in an urban setting.
