and remember, a member of Hitler Youth was HONOURED when he would turn in his OWN family members when they would remark against the beloved Reich or Hitler!

When I first read heard this (during Obama's July 2nd speech in Colorado), my jaw dropped.

If a Republican suggested a "National Security Force," which high school students would be required to join in order to graduate, liberals would scream "n***s!" and "Hitler Youth is coming to America!"

Well, I am a Republican, but I'm not suggesting we establish a NSF.  But I am screaming "n***s!" and "Hitler Youth is coming to America!" because this is what Barack Obama is talking about.  

He said, "We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as the Peace Corps, AmeriCorps and our military forces COMBINED.  

Obama has prefaced an answer to a number of questions with, "As a professor of constitutional law....."  As a professor on constitutional law, he should know that the creation of any such force would be unconstitutional.  

I have written him about this matter, but he has not responded.  He has also ignored requests for information from at least one journalist that I know about.  Maybe he can't talk about this "force" because what he has in mind is his own "secret police" force....

“We’re going to grow our Foreign Service, open consulates that have been shuttered and double the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 to renew our diplomacy,” Obama told the Colorado audience.



“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded,” he said.

Sounds like he is looking for professionals, not amateurs straight out of high school. And the reasoning is because there alot of tasks that need to be done that beyond the scope of the military. See the reconstruction disaster in Iraq for an example of this.
