  1. because the government are pea heads.

instead of feeding the prisoners and babysitting them, they should work and do community service by cleaning the island and doing things to benefit the community, but instead more than half of the federal money goes to them for free, while the streets are disgusting.

  2. Like the saying goes: "BEAUTY is in the eye of the BEHOLDER"... to the average AmeriKan, anything that isn't AmeriKan looks strange, dirtier and messier than in AmeriKa... and yet... when I have to go to the U.S. for some reason I can't avoid... I am struck by how dirty the cities and towns are... graffiti covers any available wall, there is trash in the streets, the store windows are dirty, the houses need paint, the cars are all rusted... etc... etc... etc... and I can hardly wait to get back to my lsland where it's clean and the AIR is Breathable

  3. It only happens when you're here. once you leave, it'll be a bit cleaner.

  4. well PR is part of the US, so there is a flaw in your question right there. Plus, the US is much bigger than PR so i assume you haven't visited everywhere in the US. there are many, many dirtier places than PR. Have you ever been to newark? Queens? detroit?

  5. La actitud de los residentes es la primordial razón.  Otra razón es que no refuerzan las leyes ni las hacen cumplir.  No hay planificación.  Hay mucha gente "Puerca"

  6. That sammy and lobo domesticado are not fromPR, i dont see why some people open up profiles just to act like they are from some other country to make people think bad about those countrys. So childish.

  7. i am from pr every were of that island is really dirty beacuse people on puerto rico dont care

  8. have you even been there? i will admit some places are unkept, but its a very beautiful island.. nothing like where i live!

edit: look at my pic.. do i look the least bit black?

in not.. my ancestors came from spain and portugal..

  9. every place on earth has there good and bad areas, but i have been to Puerto Rico on vacation 2 years ago and couldn't believe how filthy and smashed alot of the cars were  in the Rio Grande area it was  better in the city near San Juan . but we went to a beach and there was trash of all kinds lined on the water  on the other side of the beach it was disgusting  how they let it go like that right on the water i can't remember the name but you had to pay to get in ! it was after San Juan near the Bacardi factory . my boyfriend was born in Puerto Rico and he was embarrassed to see that

  10. I don't think that was the case at all.

I was just in Puerto Rico in April.  I was in San Juan and Fajardo.  I thought it was beautifully kept up and just wonderful.  I'm from Chicago, and I personally think parts of Chicago were a lot more dirty than the parts of PR i was in.

  11. because you're not wearing you're eyeglasses. try Lazik.

  12. I'll correct your question in order to give you a correct answer.

Why do certain areas of Puerto Rico and the U.S. are dirty and messy according to my standards?

Regretfully, just as some individuals for example do not take pride or do not care to learn how to spell or use proper grammar, some individuals in certain areas of Puerto Rico and the U.S. also do not care and do not take pride in their neighborhood. But the lack of pride in some areas is pervasive around the world, and that is too bad. We should all do our part to keep our communities clean regardless in which part of the world we live or visit.

So what can we all do ? Clearly, we should put our trash where it belongs, in a trash can, trash bin, etc. If we see a candy wrapper on a sidewalk, on a park bench, a soda pop can on the curb, we should pick it up and dispose of it properly, preferably, in a trash bin. Remember when our mothers would tell us to pick up after ourselves, some of us learned the lesson, but others did not.

Another lesson I learned is not to complain, that makes an individual part of the problem, instead I suggest others become part of the solution.

I'll give you an example, yesterday a group of my friends and I were at the park and we noticed what appeared to be big pieces of broken glass leaning against a large trash receptacle.

One friend said, wow, that glass is very dangerous, a kid can come by and really get hurt. Another said, yes, that's dangerous, a dog running by can get badly injured. And yet a third one asked, why would anyone leave broken glass in the park? My three friends had something to say, they all were upset about the glass. They all stared at the "dangerous" glass, but that is all they did, complain and stare. I could not believe their behavior!

I simply walked forward, pulled a tissue out of my purse and one by one I picked up every piece of glass and placed it inside the receptacle. I totally agreed with what they said and how they felt, but I DID something about it.

You may say, well, I didn't do it, so am not cleaning it up. The responsibility to keep our communities clean and safe falls on everyones' shoulders, young and old. So next time you see a can, a candy wrapper, a piece of paper, pick it up and dispose of it properly. No one expects you to go and clean up a neighborhood by yourself, do what you can, every little bit helps.

  13. hey  its just in certain areas like every place

youll be so wrong if u think the entire us is cleaner than pr
