Why does Palin allow her daughter to make a "decision" on the kid, but not the rest of us?

"We are proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents."

Note: I do not encourage abortion nor do I prefer it. I just believe it's more than a little hypocritical.

  1. This is the first question I have seen regarding Bristol that seems at all relevant.  You're right.  Sarah is proud of her daughters choice but not willing to let other women make the choice for themselves based on their own life circumstances.

  2. well i guess we know palins position on abortion

but ya seriously leave her family out of it.

  3. It is a safe bet that had Bristol decided to abort the pregnancy, mom would have read her the riot act.

  4. Because it is a decision.  Abortion is legal.  She doesn't want to overturn abortion, she just doesn't believe in abortion.  It's her right as an American to have her beliefs.

  5. I would be interested to see if there were a gross problem that would probably lead to her daughters death by having the baby, if she would still stand by and make her daughter give birth anyway with the world watching. (Because her policy beliefs are that all abortions, even medical abortions, should be illegal).

  6. it a totalitarian thing you wouldn't understand

  7. I think that's just propaganda talk to make you believe a decision was made and the daughter opted out of abortion. I'll bet the dau never planned on having an abortion like many teens these days. The only diff is that the family is pretty well off so that this girl & baby won't really know "hardship" like most others.

BTW they plan on the baby's father attending the GOP Convention.
