  1. Hes Ambidextrous Elric` wish i was Singledextrous` dont you`?- in 3  ways`?

  2. no,its because he is that d**n good

  3. Ronnie is ambidextrous and can play as well with his left hand as with his right.

Alain Robidoux the Canadian player, accused him of being 'disrespectful' to which Ronnie replied he could play better with his left hand than Robidoux could with his right (Alain Robidoux was right-handed). He was charged with bringing the game into disrepute but cleared when he won three frames against (former World Runner-up) Rex Williams using only his left hand.

It's now recognised as his trademark playing style and other players have tried to "copy" it (notably Matthew Stevens).

  4. Who is he E?

  5. It means he doesn't need to use the rest, which means greater postional accuracy.Nothing to do with showing off

  6. Sometimes, I suppose. Mostly though it is if he is in a position where playing left-handed would be more favvourable for the shot. On a cushion playing up or down the table, for example.

Whenever it is his turn to break, he always tends to play left-handed, because he claims it allows him to get more spin, and therefore control the cue ball to get the best safety shot possible.

Note that he does not have anywhere near as much power in playing left-handed than he does with his right.

  7. He's ambidextrious and because some shots are easier to take with your left hand he makes full use of his ability, which also gives him an advantage over his opponent. Personally I think he should only be allowed to play with either his right or left hand and state which one b4 the start of the match.

Hope you have a good evening hun ;-)

  8. Because he is the BEST !

  9. It's all about hitting the cue ball as much as possible without the extension or accessories. When the cue ball is (almost) touching the long cushion near the middle (when you're standing at the same side of that cushion) and you want to pot a ball in the right corner pocket at the same side, you can do miracles as a left handed player. If you're only right handed, you have to strain your back muscles and more.

  10. no...he is ambidextious...and is lucky that he can play with both hands....it is unique.

  11. because he can.... anyone that can brake over 100 in snooker is a genius, Ronnie can do it left and right handed, the guy is a freak. some shots its easier to use the other hand so he doesnt need to use the rest so why not. Go Ronnie 2008 he's got the campionship in the bag :)

  12. That's the reason he gives, critics say its to humiliate opponents but Id be prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

  13. An ambidextrous player like Ronnie has a great advantage - he rarely needs to use a rest, and play without the rest is far more accurate. Some view it as showboating, but I think he is a fantastic natural talent, and if weren't for his erratic nature he would win everything in sight! I just think playing with the "wrong" hand is important to keep his skills honed.

  14. yes, and to show off how good he is. amazing player.

  15. Quite simply, by playing left handed in some positions, it obviates the use of the rest which a right handed player would be forced to do, the cueing action without the rest is far more preferable.

Ronnie is just lucky that he is so ambidextrous that he is equally brilliant with both hands, and has sometimes played whole games left handed.
