Both he and Condy Rice have asked them several times and they are ignoring us. This is Soviet Era where you can bully your neighbors and invade other countries

Do you think Russia is now a ROGUE state????

  1. Because it's none of the USA's business? Georgia started this war, Russia finished it. And in case you are unaware of it, the USA routinely bullies and invades and attacks sovereign counties, if it's OK for the US why can't Russia? No, if anything, the USA and Georgia are rogue states.

  2. Why should they take any notice of Bush or anyone else? If they want to take over in Georgia then they will do so - they're probably on a mission to reclaim all those small countries who became independant in the last few years. Russia couldn't wait to get rid of them then but due to their new found wealth which has come about through western investments Russia will once again flex it's muscles - who's going to stop them?

  3. For the past few years, since the wall came down and all, Russia has been down as a nation.  Their economy was terrible.  Crime was on the rise.  They were suffering.

Now they are starting to get their act in place.  They've turned their economy around and its getting stronger.  So now they want to show their might.

The oil pipelines through Georgia were put there on purpose.  The rest of the world did not want them to go through Russia, being afraid Russia would shut them off.  So now they want a piece of the pie.

Also, 25% of our oil and 50% of our natural gas comes from Russia.  So we can't be too demanding and they don't have to listen knowing what our oil situation is.

  4. Of course the Russians would ignore Bush, the liberals have made him look like a stumbling fool for the past several years.  If we go to war, thank a liberal traitor.

  5. Russia did the same to us when Bush started a war over Saddam's WMD that didn't exist.

  6. Why do we keep hearing people say America attacked the sovereign nation of Iraq.

Iraq was not a sovereign nation when we invaded it.

Iraq LOST its sovereignty when THEY invaded the sovereign nation of Kuwait.

The world voted to defend Kuwait(A CONSENSUS)

WE kicked their butts out of Kuwait and forced them into an uncondentional surrender.

This surrender had resolutions in it that Iraq was supposed to abide by.

    they did NOT!

That is why we attacked them again.

Nobody bullied Iraq, they didn't obey the conditions of surrender, and brought it on themselves.

Bush did the right thing! History will clearly show this long after the  NOW SOVERIEGN STATE OF IRAQ becomes a successful democratic free country.

  7. No I don't think Russia is a rogue state - I just think Putin (who really still is the head of state) needs sorting out.  He is a vile war monger.

  8. Invade other countries? Didn't America do that to Iraq with no international say so?

I don't agree with what Russia is doing, i think it's unecessary, but so was the war in Iraq (which Britain was also dragged into by Blair).

  9. It is none of Bush's business that's why.  The US are just trying to cause more trouble, shocker. Even my very good American friend is sick of this.

  10. You have to remember that Fuhrer Putin's power comes from the anger of the Russian people at the west for not treating them like they were still a superpower after the Soviet Union imploded.  Once the Russian National Socialists were able to nationalize industry and take over the press directly, they started to rebuild their military.  It is still a joke - a country the size of South Carolina took out scores of their tanks and downed several attack jets, but it is steadily improving.  Europe depends on the USA for their defense so does not have militaries capable of making an impression on the Russian fascists and a succession of US Presidents starting with GHW Bush but especially by Clinton, decimated the US military.  It is now less then half the size it was during the first Gulf War and so Russia sees that it has a window to act just like Hitler did.  The parallels are extremely close between Hitlerian Germany and Putin's Russia so look for another invasion soon - probably the Ukraine.

BTW, reacting against terrorists attacks that should have been stopped by the so called Russian peacekeepers that were apparently encouraged by them is not starting a war.  Georgia had no option and Russia had it army mobilized, plans made, and waiting for the Georgian response that had to happen.  It was pure Russian aggression, started by Russia three weeks ago with the cyber attack on Georgia.

  11. ...so your definition of a 'rogue state' is one that doesn't immediately do whatever America wants?

Not that I'm a great fan of Russia's actions - far from it - but that's a bit much.

  12. Because it should have nothing to do with Bush and the USA. If i came over to you and say stop spankin your kid or i`ll slap your face you wouldn`t like that would you?

  13. Russia’s military offensive into Georgia has jolted the Bush administration’s relationship with Moscow, senior officials said Thursday, forcing a wholesale reassessment of American dealings with Russia and jeopardizing talks on everything from halting Iran’s nuclear ambitions to reducing strategic arsenals to cooperation on missiles defenses.

  14. If you define a rogue state as one which acts as a bully and does not respect the sovereign nature of small nations, it is a rogue state.

So where does that leave the invaders and occupiers of Iraq and Afghanistan?

  15. What's the difference between Russia invading Georgia and the US and Uk plus the coalition invading Iraq and Afghanistan? They're both wars, aren't they? Why is that some Americans think that the USA is the only country allowed to have nuclear weapons, destroy other nations and bully other countries into doing its will? I don't agree with the invasion of Georgia but the USA doesn't use diplomacy to get what it wants, it uses empty threats and violence. I remember the talks with North Korea and the Chinese were the few that the North Koreans would listen to due to the way the USA handled itself. The wars on Afghan and Iraq have put innocent Westerners in terrible danger and nobody can see this except a few. The USA should back down and stop trying to tell other countries how to be. If anyone should solve this Georgia crisis then the UN should go in and sort it out.

  16. I laughed when I read that story. Its standard political conduct - as America is 'the leader of the free world' any attempt to infringe the free world's rights will infringe America's beliefs and therefore its leaders will speak out. Funny that though, although Iraq is showing some success, what did Bush do in 2003? Russia is not a rogue state, the fact that the Georgian PM was opening his mouth a bit too much kinda invited Russia in there. They have had "Peacekeepers" in there since '92 or '93 (South Ossetia and Abhkzia that is), not long ago they began handing out free Russian passports in the area, so therefore they could say the Georgians were a danger to their people. Russia is just showing the world that its still go some bite I think. America has its military hand tied behind its back at the moment (The Middle Eastern problem) and will not be able to launch significant military action. I also suspect the European powers will sit on their backsides as always.

  17. Russia is momentarily honoring a truce, but it is tenuous at best.

Perhaps, Bush should not be involved in this conflict. He makes matters worse with his tough talk - telling Russia what they should & shouldn't do.  They obviously don't care what he thinks, otherwise, they wouldn't have sent their military into South Ossetia in the first place.

What do you consider a rogue state?   Russia has its own interests in mind - always has been that way.

Maybe Ban Ki Moon would have more influence in sustaining a lasting peace agreement between Georgia and Russia.

  19. To answer a question with a question, why on earth should Russia accept the request of a questionably 'elected' (remember the Florida 'chads') leader of a much smaller country to stop interfering in the affairs of nearby countries?

As for bullying neighbours and invading other countries, the USA really has no moral leg to stand on. Anyone remember Nicaragua? Guatemala?

  20. The reason why Russia is not listening to Mr. Bush is because he is a lame duck! Both internationally, and at home politically.

The boy is leaving in November and he's taking Ms. Rice with him. So what have the Russians to fear from either one of them?

    Nothing.

  21. President Bush and his war criminal cronies started the war as they have been doing all over the world since 2001 so why should any decent people listen to him. Over 1 million Iraqis have been killed by the US and about 4 million refugees so whats he talking about and why are you paying any attention to him anyway.

  22. Bush and Rice should BUTT OUT. No offence, but russia has every right to ignore pea brain aka president bush and that other woman.

Russia has always been a 'ROGUE STATE' Its the largest country in the world. It doesnt necessarily need allies.

  23. Lack or leverage and moral High grounds. and the US more likely to fight this war underground CIA style.

  24. when Bush gets on T.V and waffle's on about countries been invaded  for no good reason. Well not like he did not invade  Afghanistan and Iraq. for no good reason himself.

then he decides to at the very moment  THE Russians do invade Jorge  to go a head with the signing  of the agreement of putting  missile batteries in of all places Poland.Once again he has succeeded in adding fuel to a fire that would have burnt its  self out. The american government has stated that thees missiles where  for use in case of a terrorist attack . But come on feck that as an excuse  The best place to put missiles that reason would be in he likes of France Germany or Italy.

yes its the American  mentally. Maybe it comes from the fact that America  unlike Europe has never had to experience war  within its own boarders.

Where as  in Europe its only been sixty odd years since the last world war.

lets face it Bush has no presidential grace. He  come across more like  a deputy Sheriff  in some redneck small  town. where some one else is pulling his strings hes the ultimate puppet. All hes short of is been called Bubba

we are now on the brink of a crises  bigger  than the Cuban missile crises

  25. Lets take a step back, did we listen to them when they said don't go to Iraq. No we didn't. This (USA) thinks we are king of the world and we can tell everyone what to do, and on the other hand will not listen to anyone else.

I personal don't see why anyone would listen to this country right now.

  26. All of these above answers have been misleading.

Russia refuse to accept American and French's request to seize fire in Georgia mainly because Russian knows that American troops cannot mobilized that fast. Moreover, if the American sends its army, it will not look good on the relationship between 2 big countries.

Georgian President thought that if the war occurs, America will back them up as ally, but that is his biggest mistakes.

On other hand, Russia started the war on the Olympic time, it made it more difficult to have an absolute agreement.

Many think that the new President of Russia is too young, he does not have enough experience to deal with the foreign issues, while Mr. Putin is in China, participating in Olympic

  27. Bush is a hypocrite when it comes to sovereignty. Why doesn't he mention Palestine

  28. Putin is so stupid.  All he needed to do was tell the world he had evidence that Georgia had WMDs and then he could have built a coalition and invaded legally.  When will the rest of the world learn to listen to Bush.  They need to watch his style.  He was able to start a war with Iraq that was never declared by congress, and he is about to do the same with Iran.  Putin should have called him for advice first about how to do it.  Of course, he will do nothing with Russia but talk a good game, because they could actually fight back.

  29. No, besides the Georgians did not only attack Russian troops last week they attacked unarmed European observers as well. Russia was in fact doing what most people say troops should do to protect unarmed people. What I cannot figure out is why the leaders from the EU states these men and women observers are from have not said a word the last week. Maybe they have but the media has not mentioned it at all for their own reasons. Could it be that many of the media moguls also own arms manufacturing companies.

  30. What the h**l has it got to do with Bush? And why should Russia not ignore him.  You talk about countries bullying their neighbours - I suggest you look a bit closer to home!  It'll be the same old story, the Yanks sticking their noses in then asking us Brits to help them out when they come unstuck!

  31. Because Bush has no credibility any more and they know he can't back up anything he says.  I mean, what are we going to do, send out MORE troops there?  American's wouldn't stand for that until he gets us out if Iraq.
