I did some research and it says San Francisco's minimum wage is $9.36, while the state's is only $8.00. Are there any other cities where it's higher?

  1. San Francisco is one of the costliest cities in the U-S...and the city decided to set a higher minimum wage because of the high cost-of-living.

I'm sure there are other cities that have done the same...I just don't know any off-hand.  Try Google...

  2. Lets not forget, Min.Wage is an unfunded government mandate on businesses. And that cost just gets passed onto the consumer in the form of higher prices. So if the Pizza Shop worker gets $9.36/hr, you can be certain you are paying more for Pizza in SanFran than Birmingham,AL

  3. San Franciscans have a long history of ignoring economics. This is just another example.
