Question:

Why does Sarah Palin keep saying "chose to have the baby"?

Referring to her Down syndrome child she states that she chose to have the baby anyway. Then referring to her daughter she says she is so proud that she chose to have the baby. Good for them...but why does she want to take the right to chose away from everyone else?

  1. Because it depends on how you view the situation.

People like me, who are pro-life, believe that a baby in the womb is no different than a baby in a cradle. It's not a matter of choice to us, it's a matter of contempt for human life.

40 million babies have been aborted since Roe vs. Wade. In our point of view, that is a genocide.

edit: apparently I get three thumbs down because I value life of the innocent.

  2. Very good way of asking this question!

  3. Because many would say that a pregnant woman already has made a choice. She chose to have s*x and should accept the consequences. Obviously not in the instance or rape, i which case i am for allowing abortion. However, its rare to meet someone who uses the rape argument who would be satisfied with abortion illegal except for rape and mothers health.

To set the record straight, she is for contraceptives

  4. When the baby is old enough to say, yeah, go ahead and vacuum my brains out is the only time choice would involve the affected party.  If I chose to let someone put your testicles in a vice because you were annoying me, you might say that wasn't my choice to make.

  5. It's called playing to the base....Wave the anti-abortion flag high enough, the evangelicals will come... This is something that McCain obviously couldn't do...  Her daughter is 5 months pregnant while it's new to us, ya gotta know that McCain knew about it when he picked her, the ace up his sleeve is now being played...

  6. well, i would rather have her encouraging women to keep the baby then signing the law that bans abortion. there's nothing wrong with encouraging women to be a mother, whats wrong is keeping them from having a choice.

  7. Abortion was never met to be a form of birth control. Even if you read Roe V. Wade it was about right to privacy, not about abortion per say. If you read her position on the subject you see she does support abortion if the pregnancy will threaten the mother to be's life, and if a woman is raped. The very fact that some liberals see nothing wrong with a girl who gets 15 abortions before she is 21 is just disturbing to say the least.

  8. Because right now they can choose to have the babies, duh.

If they didn't have a choice it wouldn't change the outcome would it ?

Some lips are driven by a simple mind.
