Why does Shawn Marion shoots wierd?

probably cuz he grew up shooting like that.once you shoot a certain way for so long you cant turn back.and then hes prolly hired 234 different shot coachs and they just made it worse.like shaq

he was probably not strong enough to hold the ball rite when he wuz a little kid. then he got really good at shooting and thats the way he shot so he just stuck with it.

Marion shoots with both hands, as opposed to using one hand the guide the ball and one hand to "push" it to the basket.

His shot is more like a heave.

Well yes i have to agree he shoots weird...and there really isn't a perfect answer for this...except that his shots works best for him...i doubt he could pull off a kobe shot ? or a ray allen shot...but i also doubt that they can pull off his shot.!

just the way he started off, and it stuck with him. if he makes it, it doesn't matter. I think people would try to change it if he never made a shot, but he does, so coaches don't really care. It would be worse to try and change his shot at this point in his basketball career.

3)fells smooth with it

4)AND GIVES HIM GOOD STATS

He shoots a quick release so that no one can block him. It's a good idea. It's hella weird though!!!

well it works.  and if u look closley in slow motion before he shoots in .1 of a second he kisses the ball. plus how do u know thats the weird way?  maybe thats the right way and everyone else is weird.
