  1. Obviously, Hansen has something to hide. He reminds me of the scientists who were desperately trying to hold onto the scientific consensus that the Earth was the center of the Universe.

  2. Apparently you forgot to post this link:

    http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/update...

If you look really close you'll see the ~0.003°C change. Yep, that "correction" sure does mean the entire AGW theory is bogus ;-) ;-) ;-)

If Hansen was trying to hide anything, McIntyre would never have had any data to scrutinize in the first place. The entire GISS dataset is available and anyone with excel and a lot of free time on their hand can disect it to their hearts content.

I don't think your definition of "continuously" quite matches the one in my dictionary.  Hansen has published "how many?" scientific articles on this subject over the past 30 years? 100? 150? 200? And "how many?" errors has Mr. McIntyre discovered?  1? 2?  If I'm way off base, please feel free to list them all.

  3. Clearly it is because Hansen is a lying sack of dung and McIntyre is the one voice speaking the truth in all of this.  But, on second thought, has Steve McIntyre ever explained what is going on in a physical sense for increasing atmospheric CO2 levels not to have an effect on global temperature?  I looked but couldn't find anything where he had explained how it could not be so, which is what he must be arguing if he thinks the hockey stick is wrong.  If you think McIntyre is right you must not believe some very basic physics as well.

What part of the basic theory do you think is wrong?  Radiative transfer, atmospheric dynamics, or something esle?  Betcha can't answer that can ya?  Have you *really* thought this through or are you just arguing using your glands?

  4. James Hansen doesn't have a clue. He and a bunch of other NASA scientists design garbage that blowup in space. NASA will always be embarassed by poor design after poor design.

  5. I have a question for you. If McIntyre has been so busy proving climate scientists wrong, why doesn't he publish his work in the scientific literature? It couldn't be because his work doesn't stand up to scrutiny, could it? No, of course not. It must be because there's a vast conspiracy among scientists who wish to silence him. That must be it.

  6. McIntyre's corrections are tiny, tiny things.  They in no way change anything about global warming theory.

For example, take his correction to the temperature record.  It's less than the width of the red line on this graph, and only changes ONE year.

When deniers try to make a big deal about this, it simply shows how desperate they are to cling to ANYTHING, as mounting evidence makes their position untenable.

It's not as though Hansen is running the show on global warming.  Hundreds of scientists have validated the data.

This is an old debating trick of New Earth Creationists.  Try to cast doubt on truth by picking at unimportant details.

The Earth isn't 6000 years old, and global warming is real.

charbatch - Your argument is a good one for global warming theory.  Once Galileo looked at Venus and saw phases, there was a scientific consensus that the Earth revolved around the Sun.  The data was in.

Only ignorant "skeptics" who denied science and data clung to the belief that the Sun revolved around the Earth.

  7. Hansen stated that 2007 was the hottest year on record.  I'm waiting for McIntyre's correction to see where it really fits.

  8. James Hansen isn't protective of his methods. He's published them for all to see:

    http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/source...

Also, other than this one correction made in August of 2007, http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/update... what other errors had Hansen made that McIntyre corrected? By the way, Hansen says that, “The effect on global temperature was of order one-thousandth of a degree, so the corrected and uncorrected curves are indistinguishable.” This correction does not change a thing that we know about climate change.

you say straight to the point

Dolphins eat Bananas because they can??? What else would a football player do with them?
