Question:

Why does T. Boone Pickens need my "help" to launch his wind energy "business"?

I've never had a business man ask me for help to start a business before. They typically just start them, then charge me for the product, make a profit, and pay taxes on their profit.

What's different about this "business"? Why doesn't he just start the business, like all other businesses?

If he needs my help, is it really business at all? If he needs the public to help him, shouldn't the public just cut him out of the picture and do it themselves?

  1. I have done it on my own. A third of my home is ran off of wind energy now, just started with a simple generator. I am planning to do the rest of the home when the good ole dollar comes around. It is saving me quite a bit.

  2. Because his plan requires changes to the law... it requires a massive shift in the mind-set of America.

At no point is he seeking FISCAL backing from you... he's seeking people to help PUSH the program.

Just FYI, he is the FIRST to push a NATIONAL program to reduce BOTH our National debt, our Oil usage, and Green-house gas emissions.

  3. I don't think he is asking for our money (but he'd take it if you gave it to him). I think he is wanting our support in starting a new social movement to introduce large scale change in our nation's energy supply.

  4. He is heavily invested in wind.  Asking for help is just a ploy.

  5. becuz he thinks you are stupid and live in a trailer park.

  6. it is not a business, it is a way to save the country from hostile arab nations.

  7. That is an interesting question. T. Boone Pickens is a billionaire, I am not.

I am all for alternative fuels and sources of energy. The only thing that worries me about wind power is those mills are so ugly and noisy. Plus, they're killing thousands of migratory birds, bats, and other wildlife. Maybe someone in the future can invent a way to correct these faults. ♥ ∞
