Other countries do not suck, but there are good reasons for US general prosperity and success.

1) Rule of Law- for us it is the Constitution. Countries with well established rule of law that attempts to provide all citizens equal treatment under the law are way more prosperous than others. Compare US, Norway and Great Britain to Zimbabwe, Venezuela and South Africa.

2) Education- while there are some awful public schools, there are a lot of good ones too, and lots of opportunities besides 4 yr university such as community college, tech school, etc. Educational opportunity helps create a strong, prosperous society.

3) Heritage- America has a long history of encouraging and celebrating individual effort ; even in the dark days of slavery individuals like Frederick Douglas strove to bring change, and his efforts were applauded by abolitionists. The belief in each person's value and ability to succeed is deeply ingrained in our culture and helps drive our success.

Not so good at otherthingbuy good at war saying. Other countries do have problems true. U.N. has problem of it's own as well iy is not strong enough. Were it all countries could fix their problems. African ones, South American ones. No more rivalry equality at United Nations. Citizen participation to extent beyond what seen in elections. Money from each continent  or as much as able spent on this. To start instead of spending money on Big Gulp,Big  Mac, send to U.N. Not much but start if everyone sent money to U.N. instead of buying Fast Food in U.S.A. Canada. What instead of on new computers ,t.v.s sent money to U.N.  If instead of on entertainment sent to U.N. Instead of action movies spent on U.N.   slogan A bite out of U.N. taken each time you bite into a Big Mac.

Why?  Well, it is only because we say we do...repeatedly.  We never learn anything about the successes of other countries because we never inquire, preferring to go on whth that chant...We're number one.  Since we never learn anything about the rest of the world, we really have no idea about what actually we are best at and what we are not best at.  For instance, in graduating the most skilled engineers and computer scientists, well guess what.  We are # 3.

I will give you one good answer for this question!  It is the people from all those other countries that came hear, built the country and want to keep the country on TOP OF THE WORLD!!  All ideas  from every other country in the world was brought here tried out and proven to be good!!!
