Because he knows that Hollywood will treat him different when and if he comes out, but he might as well come out already, he isn't fooling anyone. Its only a matter of time until Katy Holmes escapes from the basement that he has her chained up in and she will let the world know the truth about Tom Cruise....

I really don't have any opinions about his sexuality one way or the other, so let's look at this in a couple of ways:

1) He is g*y and knows it. In which case, maybe he's just not ready. Maybe his parents are homophobic. Maybe he doesn't want a divorce or to hurt his wife and kids. Maybe there are other personal reasons that no one knows about.

2) He is g*y and doesn't know it. In which case, maybe he's suppressing things for fear of what kind of upheaval that would cause in his daily life. Maybe he's happy with how he is and doesn't want to deal with it.

3) He ISN'T g*y and is tired of everyone telling him to come out of the closet, when he doesn't have a closet to come out of. In which case he'll insist he is heterosexual until the day he dies and rightly so. Anything else would be a lie.

Either way, why do you care so much? How would you feel if someone was inspecting every move you made and insisting they knew what your gender preferences were (and they were contrary to what you said they were)?

Move on, dude, and focus on your own life.
