    That guy is all legs and he knows how to use them.

  5. he's probably on steroids. most runners are on steroids and so are a lot of olympians.  just look up how many runners have been convicted of using steroids over the past 20 years.  often times years later.  

    they can only test for steroids that are known.  there is a lot of money in sports and the chemical structure is constantly being changed.  so there's nothing for them to detect since they don't know that that particular steroid even exists.  just look at marion jones.  if she hadn't said that she's on steroids, nobody would ever have known that she was.  she always tested clean.  b/c she took stuff that wasn't known.

    besides that, most runners are on steroids.  the difference is that of course he is very lengthy, yet incredibly agile.  with each step he covers a bigger distance.

    by the way, i bet you anything that michael johnson in 1996 was also on steroids when he ran the world record.

He is 6 feet 5, having longer legs.  So he can take less steps and running the same distance.  Majority of the people at that height won't be as agile as him, but under the right training his coach was able to bring the best out of him, which turns his disadvantage to a huge advantage over other runners.

    - he coulda ran the 100m in 8 sec flat if he wanted too lol (celebrated the last 20 meters) lol

  11. Is everyone else just stupid or are the rest of us geniuses?  I keep hearing people making claims on these boards about why Phelps is so fast in the pool and why Bolt is so fast in the sprints.  But, quite frankly, it seems much of them are sharing the same half of a brain cell.

    Look, the reasons are quite obvious to anyone with an understand of dynamics and physiology.  

    Does it have anything to do with drugs?  No.  

    Is it because of Bolt's long legs. - Uh, wrong again.  That's maybe 5% of the answer.  If that were the only reason, then I guess Yao Ming can outrun everybody.

      

    Is it because he works sooo hard in training?  Of course, you need training.  But, you don't think the other athletes train too?  

    Look, you people need to go to school and get an education.   Geez.  I'm tired of stupidity.  I so sick and tired of you "armchair experts" making false claims, I'm not even going to give you imbeciles the answer.  You want a hint.  Three key factors - one anatomical, one physiological, and one kinematic.  Figure it out.
