They just opened a new one in Lancaster, CA, but I find I still have to go to the one in Palmdale, CA for stuff. It is still not perfect, but only better.

  1. Good question.

I am waiting to see the effect in India , where walmart is being asked to go back by the local market there.

  2. Bottom line - Dollars $$. Build it and they will come...

  3. Talk to the manager of the store you go to.

  4. Their insatiable greed. New stores=new customers=more customers=more money.

  5. Walmart uses a unique stocking system where they ship new items (from a warehouse) often rather than having a great deal of stock on hand

  6. My Walmart is over stocked.

  7. Wal-Mart is a miracle.

It is a mighty accomplishment to offer so much to so many for so little, so often.

Yes, you may find things that make it imperfect, but I see the overall effect it has had upon its customer's lives, its employee's lives and its stockholder's interests, and let me tell you...if Wal-Mart is a poor example of success, I'd sure like to see a better one.

    Can you offer any?

I suggest you ask a Store Manager to take you on a tour. Go see the chaos at 5:PM in the Receiving area, then look at the mayhem in the aisles at 3:30 AM, and the final finishing touches by Maintenance at 6:00 AM.

    As I said, Wal-Mart...is a miracle.

  8. simply and sadly put... because they can.

  9. Retailers do this a lot, they have to keep abreast in getting into new locations whilst holding on to the old ones. They they follow Darwins theory of Survival of the Fittest were the non performing stores are shutdown or used as outlet stores..

  10. its a conspiracy.......you should watch the WalMart movie - its a bad place

  11. Wal-Mart is about making a profit, so expect to see the problems resolved soon, because the longer they have them, the less they earn.

And did you see Penn and Teller on Wal-Mart?  A poke in the eye for those who think WalMart is evil.
