  1. It's for anyone who is interested in royalty.  If you are not interested, you do not need to read the questions on here.  There are plenty of other categories.

  2. I'm not British.

Lets  have religion removed-it's all rubbish.

  3. what are you talking? this has nothing to with british people >.<

  4. Royalty exists all around the world, but I do agree that it is a pretty strange and random category to have.

I mean, it really is just a part of Politics and History.

  5. No. It is a section for the Americans who know they threw out royalty, so therefore they believe English royalty is the only one in the world

  6. I am American and quite interested in the subject;I also happen to read a lot of books and am willing to share what I've learned with people who are interested in history, past and living history.Monarchy is found in more countires than the UK.

  7. There have been 100s of monarchy's, not just ours and there have been questions on lots of them.

Most of the royalty questions on here come from America, we already know about the royal family.

Although I think that this category would be better placed in History for some of the questions.

  8. You do not say where you are located - USA?

Royalty is actually far more common than is often realised.

Royalty.nu - World Royalty, A to Z Royal history, news, and books from around the world, including Africa, the Americas, Asia, Britain, Europe, Oceania, and the Middle East.

Take the British Royal Family as an example - the Queen is not just head of state of UK, but also of Canada, Australia, NZ and every Commonwealth Country.  In addition, many Commonwealth nations also have their own Royalty.

The USA had Royalty in Hawaii.

Royalty.nu - The History of Hawaii - Hawaiian RoyaltyInformation about the US state of Hawaii, which was once a kingdom with its own royal family.

So, if you are living in the USA, you have to the north of you, Royalist Canada.  Even if Canadians wanted to live in a republic, they will not go down that road for the simple reason that they might then just be swallowed up by the USA.

  9. There are a lot of would-be queens out there!

  10. nah mate, this section is for yanks to ask daft questions about it.

  11. Some top contributors and frequent posters would lead unsuspecting readers here to believe that all royalty is British. As the others have said, however, it is not true. There are dozens of extant monarchies in the world and hundreds of deposed royal and ruling families.

  12. No. It is for everyone interested in royal lines, worldwide, past and present. About 1/3 of European countries are governed by constitutional monarchy, another 1/3 have abolished monarchy but their royal families are still extant, and there are several more countries in the world where royalty is flourishing. The Brits are just more attached to their royal family than others.

  13. Britain is not the only Monarchy in the world. There are a number in Europe alone.

  14. Wow,you have really shone a searchlight on your ignorance.Royalty is for everyone,Britain is not the only country with a monarchy, didn't you know that? Many people, from republics to communist states, are interested in the many monarchies around the world.
