Why does Yahoo! Groups does not accept my Yahoo! Mail email address with a period?

Yahoo! Groups accepted email addresses are limited only to alphabets, numbers, hyphen & underscore. It excludes period while Yahoo! Mail accepts it.

  1. this would be because most spammers that invade groups have the periods in the e-mail they use. so they are blocked. sorry- it's an over all safety spam feature
