Why does Yahoo Notepad now ask me to "sign in" to it?

You have notepad in your own computer, it works just fine. But sometimes you want to make notes when you are using another computer, i.e. a friend's or an internet cafe. I only use an internet cafe when I am traveling away from my own country.

It is checking you to see if you are human. Bots cannot sign in.
