Why does Yahoo and PayPal allow vendors that have defrauded people to continue to operate?

In answer to "How do I know someone defrauded someone else?" Silly question, It was myself that was ripped off. I ordered something on line, vendor took funds via PayPal, shipped nothing. It was a Yahoo storefront. Yahoo said contact LE. PayPal said, yep you were ripped off, sorry cannot recover funds.

Yet the store front is still up and seemingly operational. The question remains. If they know someone is ripping people off, why do they allow them to continue? Are they then culpable after the fact?

  1. How do you know that someone has defrauded another person or people? Do you have proof? Do you know for a fact that they were convicted of fraud in a court of law? Or are you making an assumption about someone?

There's usually 3 sides to every story. Yours. Theirs. And the truth, which is somewhere in between.

  2. I don't know why any  scammers are still allowed to operate. Someone really should crack down on them

  3. many people don't know how to complan about this.  try you bank first.

  4. It is not common knowledge or known to people that Yahoo and PayPal drop those vendors as customers. It takes more than one infraction for that to happen. Continued abuse , for example. Yahoo and PayPal are not lacking in smarts.

Afterall.... Yahoo has a large amount of people answering questions for free!!!!!! Why? for points? No.

Many people come in here to Answers to try our best to give answers which makes sense and perhaps give someone a decent experience online.

If you know of any vendors which are malicious online; report them directly to Yahoo and PayPal. It is their "business" to take care of those problems.

Also, make a report with Rip Off Report after contacting Yahoo/Paypal.

There are many sites like that one mentioned, not necessarily the best , but I use that one the most. SEE? Your helping me give ppl the best!...

Isn't that what Answers is about?

Another place to consider is the Better Business Bureau for online fraud.

Consider giving that store a bad review and let others know whats going on with the site.

A few things prior to shopping online:

Know some facts about fraud from the government.

Research your potential store with a domain whois, good and bad reviews, and reports from agencies:

Whois information can tell you alot. It is open to the online public, and it is personal; so be civil with it.
